Dr Gearóid Ó Súilleabháin is head of the Department of Technology Enhanced Learning (http://tel.cit.ie) in the Munster Technological University where he has responsibility for developing and managing the university’s online and blended programmes, sustaining and extending exploratory research in the field, and supporting the mainstream use of technology enhanced learning across the university’s Cork campuses. Gearóid has worked at the intersection of learning and technology for more than twenty five years, during which time he has participated on and co-ordinated a wide range of EU-funded and commercial ed-tech and technology enhanced learning projects. He has also published and presented widely on a range of related research topics including digital transformation, learning experience and learning transfer. Gearóid chairs the Ed Tech and E-learning research group in MTU and is course director for MTU’s online MA in E-learning Design and Development.
